Cardboard box 150×120×80 mm with Pantone printing and matte lamination
The Pergament printing house (Chisinau) produced a run of cardboard boxes sized 150×120×80 mm. The box is made of GC1 cellulose board with a density of 265 g/m² and a coated front side. It is printed offset in 1+1 colours: the front side in the spot colour Pantone P484C, the reverse in black ink. Using a Pantone ink ensures an exact match to the customer’s brand colour across the entire packaging run.
The front side is protected with one-sided matte lamination. Matte lamination increases the print’s resistance to abrasion and gives the cardboard box a neat, restrained look that matches the premium positioning of the product.
This was a repeat order: the structure and parameters had been fine-tuned earlier, which allowed the packaging to be produced within standard lead times without additional preparation. For typical small-format boxes like this one, customers can use a library of more than 3,000 ready cutting dies: choosing an existing structure reduces the cost and lead time of cardboard packaging compared with developing an individual die.
