Pastry box 170×170×30 mm with an insert for 4 desserts

Pergament printing house (Chișinău) produced a 170×170×30 mm pastry box with a hinged lid for a set of four mousse desserts. The packaging consists of two parts: a box with a tuck-flap lid and an inner insert with four seats. The insert holds each pastry in its own cell: the desserts do not shift or touch each other while the box is carried, and when it is opened the set looks as neat as in a pastry shop display. The tuck flap keeps the lid securely closed without extra stickers or ribbons, while the box opens in one motion.

The pastry box is made of GC2 cellulose board with a density of 275 g/m²: the material holds the geometry of the walls and the lid and is well suited for confectionery packaging. Printing is offset, in 4+0: a full-colour front side with an unprinted reverse. The design is built on contrast: a laconic light background and full-colour photos of the four desserts with flavour names on the lid — the packaging itself tells the customer what is inside. A thoughtful detail is the brand inscription and QR code on the inner side of the lid: the box keeps working for the brand after it is opened.

The front side is covered with one-sided matte roll lamination. The film protects the offset print from moisture, scuffs and fingerprints — important for a box that is held in hands and given as a gift — while the velvety matte surface gives the packaging a restrained, premium look with little effect on its cost.

The construction of the box and the insert was developed individually for the customer’s dessert format. For those who do not need unique geometry, a library of more than 3,000 ready-made cutting dies is available: choosing an existing construction removes the cost of making a new die and shortens the time to launch the run.

Pergament printing house produces custom cardboard packaging in Chișinău: boxes for pastries, cakes and desserts, boxes with inserts and other cardboard constructions with offset printing, lamination and a full cycle of post-press finishing.
