Box with an insert for a cosmetics set

For a skincare set we produced complex customised packaging: a box with a hinged lid, an inner insert and a cardboard pocket. The structure was developed from scratch for these specific products — including the making of a new cutting die. The item measures 172×126×57 mm and is made of GC1 cellulose board with a density of 255 g/m². The order was completed and delivered on 28 March 2025.

A box with an insert solves two tasks at once. The practical one — the products are held firmly and do not move inside the packaging. The marketing one — the moment of opening becomes a presentation: the set greets the customer in a well-thought-out composition, which is especially important for gift packaging of cosmetics.

Printing was done offset in five colours, including the brand’s Pantone colour, yet it is the finishing that defines this packaging. Matte lamination makes the surface velvety to the touch, spot glossy UV varnish creates a contrast of textures and highlights design elements, and blue foil stamping adds a metallic accent. Combining several finishing techniques is one of the most rational ways to raise the perceived value of a product: finishing accounts for a small share of the packaging cost, yet it is exactly what distinguishes a premium box from an ordinary one on the shop shelf. The printing also covers the inner surfaces — the packaging works for the brand both outside and inside.

An individual structure is not a prerequisite for quality packaging. We have accumulated a base of more than 3,000 ready cutting dies: you can choose a suitable box shape and size from the existing options and cut the project budget, or — as in this case — develop a completely new, non-standard structure for a specific task.

Such packaging suits cosmetics sets, gift kits and limited series, where the box should not merely protect the product but shape the impression of the brand from the very first touch.
